HBO has released the original movie Behind the Candelabra, a biopic of Liberace. Michael Douglas plays Liberace; Matt Damon plays Liberace's life partner Scott; Scott Bakula plays an ex of Scotts; Dan Akroyd plays Liberace's agent; Rob Lowe plays Liberace's plastic surgeon.
The makeup artist for the movie did a fabulous job! The work on Michael and Matt and Rob's faces, especially in relation to the facelift part of the plot - phenomenal!
Also, to see the relationships and the sex between two men (Michael and Matt) is groundbreaking for television. To show gay sex and gay relationships on television is a great step-forward - and that it's HISTORY! Liberace is a part of OUR history, and we are getting to see it up close and personal portrayed by some of today's hottest and hippest actors.
Way to go, HBO, Michael, Matt, Scott, Dan, Rob, directors, and the rest of the cast and crew!
